Spoilers for Stranger Things season 4 part 2 below!

One of the best relationships that has developed in Stranger Things is definitely the one between Eleven and Hopper. The two have become father and daughter in every way that counts. Their bond is one of the most heartwarming aspects in the Netflix hit.

Their relationship was amazing in season 2 as we saw it grow. Though they did drift apart a bit in the third season with El growing up and being distracted by Mike. But I think after all they’ve been through, their months-long separation, and believing Hopper was dead, will have these two back on track!

There were lots of reunions we were hoping to see in season 4, and one of them was between these two characters. So, did it happen?

The answer is a big YES! The father and daughter finally reunited in the second half of season 4 episodes. Unfortunately, it isn’t until the final few moments of the finale, but that’s okay! At least they’re finally in the same place. And they have such a beautiful moment together.

The looks on El and Hopper’s faces when they see each other again is everything! After the trauma this little superhero has gone through and the revelations she learned, she needed her dad back home. And now he is. Woohoo!

I think the storyline with the repressed memories and the return of Papa, aka Dr. Brenner, worked especially well this season because we got to see the difference between the two men. We already hated Brenner, but for most of her life El saw him as a father. And in a weird way, as he told her while dying, he does love her like a daughter. But he doesn’t know the true meaning of the word.

But of course Hopper does, and now he and El are sporting matching looks. Aw! I can’t wait to see more scenes of these two together in Stranger Things season 5!
