Shakira and Lewis Hamilton are in the initial stages of dating, as per a new report.
A source told People magazine that the Colombian singer is having a great time knowing the F1 racer after her devastating split from Gerard Pique last year.
An insider close to the apparent new couple said,
“They’re spending time together and in the ‘getting to know you’ stage,”
“It’s fun and flirty.”
Rumors of their budding romance made headlines after the two were spotted spending time on numerous occasions, both in Spain and Miami, where the songstress currently lives with her family.
The 46-year-old Hips Don’t Lie songstress attended the F1 Spanish Grand Prix in Barcelona where the 38-year-old drove for Mercedes and won the second prize.
After that, the rumored couple went on a dinner with a group of close friends including Fai Khadra. One photograph even showed the two cozying up to each other.
One of the photos even showed the World champion wrapping his hand around the singer’s waist.
Earlier that weekend, Lewis even joked about wanting to have a Latina girlfriend. While on stage with his Mercedes mate George Russell, Hamilton said, “I need to find myself a Latina.”
Russell responded, “You’ve been single for far too long now.”
Many fans thought on Twitter that the racer was referring to Shakira.

The duo fueled their romance rumors by enjoying a boat date in Miami.
Sources believe that the Whenever Wherever singer first met at Cipriani’s Downtown Miami location after the F1 race the night before.
Hamilton and his friend fencer Miles Chamley-Watson picked up the Grammy winner outside her $20 million mansion.
Wearing a lilac crop top with long tassels and a matching skirt, the mother of two made her way aboard the vehicle.
The Zootopio voiceover actress and Pique broke up last year after the latter cheated on her with his now-girlfriend Clara Chia Marti.
Page Six informed at the time that he cheated on the singer while she was away from home due to work.
The Waka Waka hitmaker was “devastated to learn that this woman clearly felt at home in the house they shared with their children.”
The source added,
“It’s devastating for her to learn that this affair had been going on for a lot longer than she imagined.”
