Keanu On September 2, 1964, Charles Reeves was born in Beirut, Lebanon. Patricia, his mother, is from Essex, England, and Samuel, his father, is from Hawaii. While working as a costume designer in Beirut, Reeves’ mother met his father. Despite spending much of his early childhood traveling the world with his mother after his father abandoned the family when he was three years old, they eventually settled in Toronto and became Canadian citizens in 1971.
