Sally Margaret Field is an American actress. She is recognizable for her role in Smokey and the Bandit, Mrs. Doubtfire, Forrest Gump and The Amazing Spider-Man.

Field was born on November 6, 1946. She got into acting as a teenager in 1963. Her first role was on Gidget in 1965. She got her first major role on The Girl with Something Extra in 1975. Her role in Sybil earned her an Emmy Award.

Smokey and the Bandit was one of her highest-grossing films where she starred alongside Burt Reynolds. She got her first Academy Award for Best Actress in the movie Norma Rae and her second Academy Award for 1984 drama Places in the Heart.

In 2012, she was nominated for five awards starring alongside Daniel Day-Lewis in the acclaimed movie Lincoln. In 2014, she got her own Hollywood Walk of Fame Star.
