Nicole Ari Parker returns to the big screen with her new movie, A Snowy Day in Oakland. If you’re unfamiliar with this film, we tell you all there is to know about it below, including where you can watch it.

A Snowy Day in Oakland is a comedy film written and directed by Kim Bass. Bass is best known for co-creating the popular sitcom Sister, Sister and writing on the ’90s sketch comedy series In Living Color.

Parker stars as Dr. Latrice Monroe, a high-end psychologist from San Francisco who decides to break up with her longtime psychiatrist boyfriend and business partner. She then decides to move on with her life by opening her own private practice in a vacant office space located in a predominately African-American area in Oakland.

Besides Parker, you can expect to see the familiar faces of Evan Ross, Arden Myrin, Roger Cross, Sean Maguire, Loretta Devine, Reno Wilson, Kimberly Elise, Deon Cole, Michael Jai White, and many others.

Unfortunately, A Snowy Day in Oakland is not a movie you can stream on Netflix at the moment. However, it could make its way to the streaming service in the future if Netflix acquires licensing rights. But for now, you’ll have to look elsewhere to watch this film.

As of March 17, there’s only one place you can watch this film: the movie theater. To find out if there are screenings near you and to buy tickets, you can visit websites such as Fandango and AMC Theatres. Also, sometime after the theater release, it’ll most likely be available to purchase and/or rent on websites like Amazon Prime Video, Google Play, Vudu, etc.
