"It was a duet with this woman named @movewithjoy, who makes easy dances," she answered. "And it's her voice speaking, and you just copy whatever she says. So I dueted the video that she did, and it was just like, 'Step, step, hip, hip,' like stuff like that, very simple. It was like eight moves, and I posted it."

The 15-year-old remembered she posted it before she was heading to "some summer dance camp thing". During the one-and-a-half-hour long trip, she was freaking out with her mom, Heidi D'Amelio, over how many likes she was getting for the one video. It started with 90 likes and got off to 50,000 by the time she reached her destination.

And as to why there were so many people coming on to her for her video, she's been saying she has no clue why she got that famous. She posted her second video in the bathroom, the unusually usual place for her and her friends to make most videos, because there's just good lighting in the bathroom.

When asked if there's a secret to making a video, she plainly answered, "You just have to be authentic. Like you can't fake a smile." The second sentence is extensively used as a running gag in the comments section.

Another thing people made a big deal of was when she talked about inventing her own moves or copying a new trend. She had that really smart answer that people don't usually think a 15-year-old could say, "That's the fun thing about TikTok, is there are so many new trends. ... Someone will make a dance video or a little comedy bit that you can add your own twist onto. And I mean, I've made some dances, but a lot of people like Hailey, Jalaiah, like Addison, Avani, Madi, like all my friends."

There's this heated debate over TikTok users not mentioning the original creator of any dance moves because they won't even know who the real dancers even are. When the Renegade move was famous via D'Amelio, it took quite a while to track down the pioneer as Jalaiah Harmon [net worth: $100,000]. And everyone was bottling her for not giving credit to her or to D1 Nayah for her Donut Shop dance. Meanwhile, D'Amelio saw the Renegade dance on another TikTok user's page.

It was nice of her to include Harmon's name in there as she and others like her need so much recognition. And while there is absolutely no bad blood between Harmon and D'Amelio [really, they are friends], the public seems to be giving a hard time for all the other things these people do. But these days, the stars have started crediting the actual creators.

As for her work with UNICEF, D'Amelio and her sister, Dixie [net worth: $700,000], paired up with UNICEF on Internet Safety Day to talk about "how cyberbullying really can affect people". She also was genuinely diplomatic when she said it hurts the same whether she had millions of followers or when she was getting bad comments even if she only had a low follower-count. She knows how much hate there is on the internet against her, and Fallon was unsurprisingly surprised at the fact.

So I just feel it's very, very important raising awareness about that, and just showing everyone like it's okay to not be okay. Like you just have to know that these people aren't worth your time.

The social media icon also hinted on a possible meet&greet over the summer as Fallon suggested a tour (which might not have been in the original plan, but it most likely is now). Before she left, the two did the Ooh, Na Na Na move.
