For those who love horror, Friday the 13th feels like a pre-Halloween celebration, and while we are still a few weeks away from the best day of the year, it’s fun to get a Friday the 13th in the same month. It’s almost like getting two Halloweens.

The best way to celebrate this superstitious day is by watching the movies named after it. The film franchise that gave birth to the iconic horror slasher Jason Voorhees is one of the most popular in the horror genre, up there with Halloween, Nightmare on Elm Street, and Texas Chainsaw Massacre.

Previously, Netflix did have the 2009 remake and the 2003 crossover film Freddy vs. Jason, but neither is on the platform anymore. The original 1980 film is currently available to watch on Max as are all of the other films in the franchise, including the 2009 remake. Previously, the majority of the movies were on STARZ, so it just goes to show how fast these movies can change streaming services.
