Actress America Ferrera, 37 has given birth to her second child with her husband Ryan Piers Williams. She made the announcement of her childbirth on her Instagram. Their baby daughter Lucia Marisol was born on 4 May 2020.
America posted an image of her holding the baby’s hand and wrote below it:
“LUCIA MARISOL WILLIAMS arrived on May 4th to give me my Mother’s Day hugs and kisses herself”.
“Mama, Dada & Big Brother are over the moon to welcome her bright light to our family.”
“The most exquisite little creature graced us with her presence on May 4, 2020.
“Please meet the newest member of our family, Lucia Marisol Williams. She came just in time for Mother’s Day. Everyone is healthy and happy!” (sic).”
America and her pregnancy announcement
Just five months back on New Year’s Eve, America announced her pregnancy news. She posted on her Instagram a sweet photo of her standing in the snow and cradling her growing baby bump.
In the photo was also her husband Ryan with her son Sebastian. Sebastian would trunk 2xthis coming 29 May.
She had captioned this post:
“Welcoming Baby #2 in 2020! Happy New Year from our wild & growing bunch.”
Her friends and fans immediately congratulated her. Reese Witherspoon wrote:
“Congratulations!!!! This is the most exciting news.”

In 2017, America announced her pregnancy with Sebastian also on New Year’s Eve. The actress was part of the series Ugly Betty from 2006 to 2010.
The couple’s relationship
America and Ryan met at the University of Southern California. They were filming together for a student film there. They wed in 2011.
America spoke about pregnancy and motherhood to Health magazine:
“You create life. I found so much power in that. In terms of my relationship to my body, I’m still breastfeeding, so it’s still very much in service of my son.
“There are parts of it that I love and also parts of it that are super challenging. I’m just now starting to feel like I want to feel strong in my body again.
“I didn’t work out as much as I imagined I would during my pregnancy. I was in triathlon shape when I got pregnant.
“And I had so much on my plate and something had to give.”
