Netflix’s edgy, adult-oriented animated series from The Simpsons and Futurama creator Matt Groening Disenchantment recently released its gut-busting third season, and it’s no surprise that fans are ready for more drunken misadventures from Princess Bean, Elfo, and Luci.

It’s already known that Disenchantment season 4 has already been ordered, but it may be a while before the next chapter makes its way to the streaming service.

Subscribers looking to find some similar TV shows and movies to hold them over until the next installment of sidesplitting and spellbinding medieval drunken misadventures are in luck because the streamer has several options that will most assuredly entertain those who thoroughly enjoyed the adventures and hilarity of the comical cartoon.

Out of everything the streaming service has to offer, here are five shows available on Netflix that fast should definitely check out if they enjoy the adult animated series Disenchantment.

1. Big Mouth

Disenchantment isn’t the only loudmouthed adult animate half-hour series available on Netflix. The no-holds-barred coming-of-age sitcom Big Mouth, created by Family Guy writer Andrew Goldberg along with Nick Kroll, Mark Levin, and Jennifer Flackett, follows some prepubescent teens on their journeyer to adulthood and how they manage their changing bodies.

After five seasons, it’s safe to say Big Mouth is Chock full of Hormone monsters, laugh out loud musical numbers, and plenty of lessons other shows put out but in a much more delightfully unnerving manner. The sexual humor, clever jokes, and stylishly signature animation style are all on par with Disenchantment making it an ideal follow-up when one finishes the rewarding first three chapters.

2. Aggretsuko

Princess Bean is the rebellious spirit that is constantly trying to prove herself in a man”s world while attempting to carve her own path in the world. And along the way, she causes some mayhem and chaos in the process. It just so happens that Netflix has another animated endeavor that has a lot in common with Disenchantment called Aggretsuko. 

The incredibly popular and entertaining Japanese musical comedy anime series follows a 25-year-old anthropomorphic red panda named Restuko as she does her best to navigate the daily grind of her less than stellar job while moonlighting as a death metal singing karaoke enthusiast. Every season of the Aggretsuko has garnered perfect scores on rotten tomatoes, making it a must-see affair for fans of Disenchantment and intriguing cartoon comedies.

3. Spring Breakers

Disenchantment’s Princess Bean, Elfo, and Luci can get into some pretty crazy adventures, and they aren’t afraid of breaking the law while being totally wasted in the process. If fans of the animated Netflix series are looking for a live-action crime film following along those lines, then look no further than the 2012 cult classic Spring Breakers.

Starring Vanessa Hudgens, Selena Gomez, Ashley Benson, and Rachel Korine, the film follows four college-aged girls who get help from an eccentric drug dealer and embark on a wild odyssey into the world of drugs, crime, and violence. Disenchantment fans looking to up the dose of adrenaline and raise the stakes should definitely make Spring Breakers a priority.

4. Fate: The Winx Saga

There may be some fans that would like to watch some remarkable fantasy drama after getting in a solid amount of happy hour binge-watching of Disenchantment hilarious three seasons. If that happens to the case, then subscribers should not sleep on the fantastical young adult series Fate: The Winx Saga, based on the Nickelodeon animated series Winx Club.

The six-episode first season of Fate: The Winx Saga follows a group of fairies attending a magical boarding school to try and master their abilities, only to have their studies rudely interrupted by a dark, nefarious force. These fairies are much different than the ones seen in Disenchantment, but that’s no reason for fans to sleep on this exciting new Netflix series.

5. Yes, God, Yes

It’s no secret that Disenchantment’s Princess Bean likes to get down and dirty sometimes and isn’t afraid to experiment, especially with a mermaid, as seen in season 3. Yes, God, Yes is a critically acclaimed film that also features a bit of sexual curiosity and exploration within a spectacular comedy-drama starring Stranger Things star Natalia Dyer.

In Yes, God, Yes, Dyer plays Alice, a sexually inexperienced high school student at a Catholic co-ed school who learns some valuable lessons about sex, hell, and life in a heartfelt and at times hilarious story that Disenchantment fans will absolutely not want to miss.
